Do nominees have to be members of DallsHR to participate?
No, your nominee does not have to be a member of Dallas HR.
Do nominees have to live in the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex?
Yes, nominees must live in the Dallas/Fort Worth metroplex.
Do nominees need to be employed for consideration?
Yes, nominees must be actively employed and must have demonstrated excellence in the field of HR.
Do Student nominees have to be enrolled in a College or University?
Yes, a student nominee must be currently enrolled full-time at a college or university and MUST be a member of their local SHRM Student Chapter.
Can I submit one nominee for several different awards?
Nominee applications may be submitted for no more than two different categories. The nominator must complete a nomination form - in full - for each award category submitted.
What is the last day I can submit a nominee?
All submissions must be completed in full by 11:59 p.m. on November 14, 2025.
What if I don't have time to fill out the Nomination Form in its entirety?
Incomplete nomination forms may result in disqualification or rejection by the judging Panel.
Do you provide Gala tickets for nominees who become finalists?
Award finalists and their guests are required to purchase Gala tickets. Full-time student finalists will receive one complimentary Gala ticket.
Who reviews and qualifies the nominations?
A panel of senior human resources executives, not affiliated with any Chapter. Note that judges specifically for the Recruiting Team of the Year award are personnel from the DFW Texas Recruiters Network.
What if a nomination comes in from the organization where a judge is employed?
It is understood that the respective judge will be ineligible to participate in the award evaluation and selection.
When would a judge reject or disqualify a nomination form?
The judging panel reserves the right to reject or disqualify any entry that does not conform to the entry rules and guidelines or is not completed in its entirety.
Why is my nominee a finalist for a different category than I submitted?
Judges may choose to move an entry to another category if they consider that category more appropriate for the nomination.
I submitted a nominee for an award that is not being given out. Why?
Judges reserve the right not to give out an award in any category where the number or quality of entries received is insufficient to provide competition.
